STORY

In order to secure a prosperous future with Prince Charming, the witch willingly imbibed a transformative potion, enhancing her beauty, and introduced an intriguing Oriental puzzle game - Dark Chess. Organizing a Dark Chess tournament, the witch enticed participants with the promise of winning her, along with her castle, wealth, and exquisite jewelry. Characters such as Porky Pig, aspiring for a grand residence, Princess Frog longing to escape the depths of a well, and Cinderella with an obsessive need for cleanliness, all harbored desires for the magnificent castle. This event will see a colorful array of fairy tale characters such as Sleeping Beauty Ornora, Shrek's wife, and other whimsical figures from the kingdom. Can you emerge victorious in this whimsical competition? Prepare to be entertained and possibly outwitted!

This game is a unique take on Chinese Chess where all pieces are initially facedown. Upon flipping a piece, it becomes aligned with the player's color. Pieces can be moved horizontally or vertically to unoccupied spaces or capture opponent pieces except for Cannons which require jumping over another piece for movement or capture. The match consists of a three-point system, with the first player to earn two points being declared the winner. In case of a tie, the game continues until a clear victor emerges.

Dark Chess offers two distinct playing modes: Starting Adventure and Free Battle.
